IPPLEPEN Post Office opened on Tuesday at a new location – SPAR, Totnes Road, Ipplepen, Newton Abbot, TQ12 5TN.

This has restored service to the community. The previous postmaster had resigned and the Post Office at Fore Street, Ipplepen, Newton Abbot, TQ12 5RH, closed on October 26.

The new opening hours for Ipplepen Post Office are Monday to Sunday, 7am – 6pm.

This is an extra 38 hours and 30 minutes of Post Office service a week for the convenience of customers including all day Sunday and Saturday afternoons. There is also no lunchtime closing. It also opens earlier and closes later.

There is a Post Office serving point at the retail counter. A marked walkway in high visibility paint across the petrol station forecourt indicates a pedestrian route, providing clear and visible access to the Post Office and shop.

Adam Shillcock, Post Office Partner Account Manager, said: ‘We are delighted to have been able to restore Post Office services to Ipplepen as we know how important a Post Office is to a community. The branch is now open daily and with much longer opening hours than before, making it very easy to visit.’
