TEIGNMOUTH’S Atlantic 85 Lifeboat, The Two Annes, has been called out twice over the past week.

On Sunday, the lifeboat was launched just before 7pm to attend a broken down motor boat off Babbacombe.

Crew members assessed the situation and a decision was made to tow the vessel to the nearest safe harbour, Torquay Marina.

The lifeboat returned to Teignmouth, where she was refuelled and was ready for service again at 8.30pm.

The volunteer crew were asked to help Devon and Cornwall Police in a search in the Torbay area.

The lifeboat was launched at 4.30pm and stood down after a full search was carried out. The lifeboat returned to the station, and was re-fuelled and ready for service at 6.45pm.
