ROADWORKS and a minor road accident have caused traffic hold-ups in Dawlish this morning.

A two vehicle collision was reported at about 9.25am on Exeter Road.

A police spokesman said there were no reports of injuries and the road was not blocked.

Drivers exchanged their details and there was no need for police attendance.

But the collision near the garage has created further delays in the town where there are already three-way traffic lights in operation.

Work by the National Grid at Iddesleigh Terrace means the lights are in place at the end of The Strand.

These are scheduled to be in place until February 12. Drivers have described the congestion as ‘chaos’.
