A DRINK-driver from Newton Abbot has been banned for 15 months.

Sharon Roxanne Dart, aged 41, of Sandringham Road, pleaded guilty to driving while over the limit at Sandringham Road in Newton Abbot. She gave a reading of 55mcgs of alcohol in 100 mls of breath. The legal limit is 35 mcgs.

South and West Devon Magistrates' Court banned her for 15 months but said this could be reduced by 15 weeks on completion of an approved course.

Dart was fined £120 and ordered to pay £85 costs to the Crown Prosecution Service and £48 to fund victim services.
