A DRINK-driver who was caught in Teignmouth received a 14-month ban from South and West Devon Magistrates' Court.
Benjamin Paul Raven, aged 39, of Vane Hill Road, Torquay, pleaded guilty to driving a white BMW while over the drink-drive limit. He gave a reading of 41 mcgs of alcohol in 100 mls of breath. The legal limit is 35 mcgs.
His ban can be reduced by 14 weeks on completion of a course.
Raven was also fined £438 and must pay costs of £85 to the Crown Prosecution Service and £175 to fund victim services.
He also admitted failing to stop following an accident in Shaldon on October16 last year. No separate penalty was imposed for this.
